The University of North Florida men’s basketball team shot a season-best 57.8 percent from the field and had three players notch double figures in a 70-62 win against Palm Beach Atlantic at UNF Arena.

Fifty four straight times the University of North Florida men’s basketball team took the court away from home. Fifty four straight times the team got back on the bus without a victory. That changed on Thursday night after transfer Eni Cuka poured in 27 points and the Ospreys (1-8) shot 81.8 percent from the free throw line in a 77-66 win against Furman (1-7).

Brittany Kirkland G#10Women's Basketball
Three games into the season, Kirkland earned a spot in the UNF starting lineup and has made career strides since. After posting a career-high 15 points in a win against Wofford, Kirkland played a career-high 29 minutes in the Lady Ospreys’ A-Sun-opening win against Lipscomb. In UNF’s most recent action, she logged 26 minutes on the hardwood and scored a team-best 10 points (tied with senior Jennifer Bowen) in a loss to Belmont.
Cortez Riley G#15Men's Basketball
Cortez Riley averaged 15.5 points, 3.5 assists, 3 steals and 2.5 rebounds in a pair of Atlantic Sun Conference games last week. Riley began the week by tying a career-high with 21 points against Lipscomb, while setting a career-high with 10 free throws. He followed that contest up with 10 points against Belmont.
