Steve Nash, who missed Tuesday's game with back spasms, is expected to play against the Clippers on Friday.
He made it through Thursday's practice with no issues and looks like a lock to play on Friday. Get him back in your lineup. Jan. 1 - 5:18 pm et

Brandon Roy - G/F - POR
Brandon Roy has upgraded himself from doubtful to questionable for Friday's game against the Hornets with a hamstring injury that kept him out of his last game.
"I don't want to play tomorrow and the whole night not be able to do anything,'' Roy said. "I don't have to be at 100 percent, I just want to be able to make moves, and I don't know if I can do that just yet.'' Consider him a game-time decision for tomorrow. Jan. 1 - 4:24 pm et

Caron Butler - G/F - WAS
Caron Butler practiced on Thursday through his sprained ankle and is expected to play Friday against the Celtics.
He's missed three games with the injury and as long as there are no setbacks between now and Friday night, he should be in the starting lineup. Jan. 1 - 4:07 pm et

Jarron Collins - C - UTA
Jarron Collins returned to Jazz practice on Thursday and is expected to be available for Friday's game against the Lakers.
He's been out for most of the season with an elbow injury but shouldn't offer much fantasy value even when he's healthy. Jan. 1 - 3:01 pm et

Paul Millsap - F/C - UTA
Paul Millsap, who has missed three straight games with a knee injury, practiced on Thursday and is expected to play against the Lakers on Friday.
This is great news for Millsap's owners, especially given the fact that Carlos Boozer needs surgery and will be out for at least another month. Millsap was expected to miss more than three games, but it sounds like it's safe to go ahead and get him in your lineup. Jan. 1 - 2:59 pm et

Nenad Krstic - F/C - OKC
Nenad Krstic was on the Thunder bench Wednesday in street clothes but won't be cleared to play until next week.
He's still waiting on his green card and won't be allowed to play until he has it. If you picked him up, don't put him in your lineup until you've see him play in at least a game or two for the Thunder. Jan. 1 - 9:23 am et

Tyrus Thomas - F/C - CHI
The Bulls fined Tyrus Thomas, Larry Hughes and Joakim Noah Tuesday for conduct detrimental to the team.
The three were apparently not happy when Vinny Del Negro reminded the team of a rule that prohibits pregame eating in the locker room, and were fined for inappropriate language or for being disrespectful to the coach. Thomas has seen his minutes cut over the last two games, and there's a decent chance that this is the reason why. Jan. 1 - 9:18 am et

Mardy Collins - G - LAC
Mardy Collins started at small forward for the Clippers on Wednesday night, finishing with two points in 19 minutes.
It's a stretch to consider Collins a forward but shows the desperation the Clippers are feeling right now with Zach Randolph and Chris Kaman sidelined. Collins has no fantasy value, regardless of how many games he starts for coach Mike Dunleavy. Jan. 1 - 8:07 am et

Al Thornton - F - LAC
Al Thornton hit 9-of-17 shots on his way to 24 points, nine rebounds and four blocks as the Clippers fell at home to the Sixers.
Thornton's been a little inconsistent over the past week, but with so few big men available for the Clippers right now, should be in most starting lineups. Clippers' owner Donald Sterling was furious after the Clippers fell apart in the final three minutes and the crowd was chanting "Fire Dunleavy," making us wonder if we could be close to seeing a new coach in L.A. Jan. 1 - 8:03 am et

Marcus Camby - F/C - LAC
Marcus Camby finished Wednesday's loss with 16 points, 17 rebounds, six assists, a steal and two blocks as the Clippers fell to the Sixers at home.
Camby's numbers in December were something to marvel at, as he finished with averages of 13 points, 15.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.2 blocks. If you own him in a points league he might be your MVP, but he's been a complete stud in every format this season. You have to worry about him slowing down as the year progresses and when Chris Kaman returns, but the boards and blocks aren't just going to go disappear. Jan. 1 - 7:59 am et

Lou Williams - G - PHI
Lou Williams hit just 3-of-10 shots for nine points on Wednesday, breaking his streak of hitting double digits in 11 straight games.
The news wasn't all bad, as he finished with four assists, a steal and two blocks. Williams was due for an off night, but owners have to hope this isn't the start of a permanent slide. Despite the fact he hasn't hit a three in his last five games, he's still one of Philly's best scoring options. Let's see if he bounces back in the next one. Jan. 1 - 7:53 am et

Thaddeus Young - F - PHI
Thaddeus Young hit 10-of-14 shots on his way to 20 points, six boards and three steals in Wednesday's win over the Clippers.
Young started slowly once Elton Brand got hurt but is cooking now, averaging 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and two steals per game over his last two. He will take a hit when Brand returns, but it's possible that may be a short endeavor. Young should at least be owned in almost all leagues right now. Jan. 1 - 7:47 am et

Andre Iguodala - G/F - PHI
Andre Iguodala had 28 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals as the Sixers beat the Clippers in L.A. on New Year's Eve.
Iguodala hit just 7-of-16 shots, but buried 14-of-17 free throws on the night. After a dreadfully slow start to the season he turned it on in December, averaging 19 points, nearly seven boards, five assists and two steals per game on the month. Jan. 1 - 7:43 am et

Brian Cook - F - ORL
Brian Cook returned to action on Wednesday December 31. Jan. 1 - 1:14 am et

Kevin Durant - G/F - OKC
Kevin Durant and Jeff Green combined to score 51 points and grab 18 boards as the Thunder beat the Warriors on Wednesday.
Durant finished with 25 points, 10 boards, six assists, two blocks and a three, while Green added 26 points, eight boards, two steals, a block and a three on the night. Both players are set up to have a huge second half, so congratulations if you stole Green after his slow start this season. Dec. 31 - 11:21 pm et
